On Saturday August 30th 2014 skaters, surfers and fans of Jay Adams gathered in Venice Beach, CA for a celebration of his life.  

Robbie grinds blind, Ronnie breaks the flip-grab rule and Pedro saves the best for last in the VDI best trick event. 

Ten lucky skaters were pre-qualified for the VDI. For everyone else, it's a battle just to make the big show. If these are the semis, just imagine how raw the finals are gonna get!

A harsh contest environment with bowl competitors fighting for a win? Hell no. Everyone had a blast, pushed themselves, and cheered each other on. What a great comp. Thanks everyone!
