RAINN

RAINN (Rape, Assault and Incest National Network) is the country’s largest anti-sexual violence organization. It created and runs the National Sexual Assault Hotline with more than 1,000 local sexual assault service providers. Over three-million survivors and their loved ones have been helped by RAINN in the last 25 years. If you’ve been subjected to sexual violence and need help, call 800-656-HOPE (4673) today. Skating has not been insulated from instances of assault, and it’s more important than ever that we help push against the violence and provide support for survivors. Thrasher Community HOPE Pullquote FINALWebsite: https://www.rainn.org/

If you're having an event, hit them up for some flyers or more info. Listen up, it's all in the name.
  • ACLU

    ACLU
Chances are you've heard of the American Civil Liberties Union, and for good reason. The ACLU has been fighting within the legal system to protect the individual rights of citizens on issues like women’s rights, racial justice, privacy and surveillance for over 100 years. Check their site to know your rights when you get jammed up by the cops at your favorite spot.
  • Equal Justice Initiative

    Equal Justice Initiative
The Equal Justice Initiative provides legal assistance, makes reports and produces short films to address and fight against racial injustice and mass incarceration in America. The EJI has helped over 120 wrongly-convicted or illegally-sentenced people in Alabama and has won cases in the Supreme Court banning life without parole for kids. Check the video for a quick look at their work.

  • The Crisis Text Line

    The Crisis Text Line
Some would rather text than call, and for those, the Crisis Text Line is available 24/7, not just for suicide emergencies but for any number of painful, heated moments. Seventy-five-percent of the the texters that use the service are under the age of 25, which also overlaps with the largest demographic of skaters. It’s free, it’s anonymous and it helps save lives. Watch their video to see more of their mission. And, if you’re in a crisis currently, text “Hello” to #741741 and connect with a crisis counselor today.
