Expedition in Austin

Expedition continues on their first rodeo through Texas and makes a stop at No Comply in Austin. Words and photos by Joe Hammeke.

Chany is a polite man. The kind of guy who likes to look you in the eye when speaking to you.

No Comply Skate Shop in Austin, TX

Owner, Elias Bingham was there to greet us

Skaters were waiting for Kenny Hoyle outside in the humid Texas air

Pounds around with Matt Miller

Inside for the poster signing

Packed house

“You guys wanna see my wrist?”

Eeeww

You’re my favorite skater!

More T-shirts graced with Tom’s signature

Down the line

Michael Sieben and Spencer Hamilton talk tattoos

A few late arrivals caught up with Zered at the van

Zered with a lil' flatground switch flip for Matt Miller’s instagram

Then bomb the hill to the skatepark around the corner

Zered, backside flip straight out the gates

Spencer Hamilton frontside flips the stair set.  It’s a nine but a Texas nine.

Zered back 5-0 the hubba

Expedition flow rider Frankie Heck went to town on this thing.  Back Smith.

Some kid made sure to inform us that every trick the guys were trying were ABDs.  Zered went ahead and did the boneless anyway.

It was getting dark and the stairs were one of the only well lit sections. But that didn’t seem to bother Taylor McClung on this switch flip.

Frankie nailed the back overcrook in two tries.

Then the session moved over to the tight 1/4 pipe. Chany front rock.

Brianna pushed a lay back to the edge.

Tom and Zered with double 5-0’s, ABD?

Then Tom closes it out with a frontside tap
